Two voices blend to make one beautiful melody in the form of St. Beauty Band under Janelle Monae’s Wondaland imprint.
Born and raised in Atlanta, Alexe Belle and Isis Valentino are on a mission to heal and inspire listeners through their music. With musical influences ranging from Stevie Wonder, Sade, and Kid Cudi.. the duo is bringing a fresh vibe and sound to the R&B music scene.
One artist showcase after work brought the women together and after the acclaim from the audience, the two formed their duo.
In a few, short years Alexe and Isis went from working together at the vintage boutique Poor Little Rich Girls to being discovered by Janelle Monae and opening up for Jhene Aiko. Moving forward, the group has expressed their desire to work with Pharell.
They were first introduced to the masses on Wondaland Presents: The Eephus in 2015. Since then, their music has been featured on shows like Issa Raye's "Insecure".
The “Going Nowhere” singers released their debut EP, Running to the Sun, in January. Alexe and Isis write, produce and play various instruments making their music a direct gift from the source to the fans. With sultry sounds a mix of funk and R&B, and describe their music as "a lifeline of colors, emotions, vibrations, and even confetti."

The name St. Beauty came from a song inspired by Stevie Wonder’s “Bird of Beauty”.
Alexe and Isis are the “wild children” of Wondaland due to their outgoing nature and frequent social behavior.
St. Beauty means “pure beauty” and is something that anyone can adapt and relate to.
