In the mid-90s, childhood friends Lil’ Bo and Big Sam formed the group East Side Boyz. Under Mirror Image Records, the group released “Who U Wit,” an immediate regional success. Their debut album Get Crunk, Who U Wit; Da Album dropped very soon after.
The group capitalized on the success of their first album and released the followup project, We Still Crunk in 2000, independently released with BME Records and Kings of Crunk in 2002 led by its Top Five hit “Get Low.”
By the end of 2004, The East Side Boyz announced the release of their star-studded album Crunk Juice including guest features on nearly every song. “Lovers and Friends” featuring Lil Jon, Usher, and Ludacris became the most successful single from the album, reaching the Top Three on the Billboard 100.
